Detestation formed around 1995 and broke up around 1998. Their sound is still unmatched to this day, a combination of aggressive female vocals, tight drumming, complex guitar, and driving powerful basslines. Their lyrics were an all-out political assault on many topics, with personal criticisms of life and the punk scene thrown in as well. They played many shows in the U$A and also toured Europe. They released several eps and split eps, as well as 2 full lengths and numerous compilation appearances. Members have been in bands such as: Hellshock, Resist, Defiance, Masskontroll, Atrocious Madness, Cut-Throat, War Machine, Deprived, Starved and Delirious, Suicide Blitz, Endrophobia, Murder Disco X, Final Massakre, Cluster Bomb Unit, Severed Head of State, Assassinate, Yankee Wuss, Riot Cop, Epidemia, A Mess, Resolve, Question, and Faggot.
