I'm interested in just about anything that stimulates my mind...music, movies, books, discussion/debate...
Someone who's not going to play games with me...unless it's Trivial Pursuit: The Grunge Years.Oh yeah...she's gotta be female, too.
The Beatles (without whom none of this would have been possible,) Pink Floyd, Silversun Pickups, TOOL, Mike Patton, Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Peeping Tom, The Verve Pipe, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Bush, Nirvana, Green Day, Rush, Soundgarden, Catherine Wheel, Kiss, Stone Temple Pilots, REM (before Bill Berry left,) Springsteen, Meat Loaf, Hendrix, Living Colour, Duran Duran, Men At Work, Billy Idol and many more I can't think of right now.
The Star Wars Saga, George A. Romero's "Dead" saga (all others are just pale imitations,) Memento, Vanilla Sky, Videodrome, High Fidelity, Rock And Rule, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Fly (remake), Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Shaun Of The Dead, Fido, The Butterfly Effect, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill (volumes 1 and 2), Grindhouse, Entropy, Pink Floyd The Wall, 12 Monkeys, The Jacket, Halloween (John Carpenters original version more so than Rob Zombie's re-imagining,)...more to come as they occur to me.
Typically, I don't watch much television (I'm too busy watching movies and concerts on video.) However, Frasier and Family Guy are two of the most intelligently written, consistently amusing shows in the history of television. I'm also hugely big on House MD and Californication (I AM Hank Moody.)Law and Order: CI is very good, too...most of the time. One of the GREATEST cartoons EVER:
Anthem, The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged; all by Ayn Rand.Breakfast Of Champions, Cat's Cradle, Bluebeard, Timequake, Slaughterhouse Five, Deadeye Dick; all by Kurt Vonnegut (Jr.)Generation X, Life Without God; both by Douglas Coupland.Where The Sidewalk Ends, A Light In The Attic, Falling Up, The Giving Tree; all by Shel Silverstein.High Fidelity by Nick Hornby.Pretty much anything Stephen King wrote prior to Gerald's Game. (After that, he kind of started getting a little silly, IMO.)
My kids.
