Band Members: Dan -
Dan is the offspring of an octopus and a sweat gland. He plays the drums and despite this still managed to get into university. Well done Dan. He can often be heard saying such introspective things as 'Bam-Bam', 'Drums make Dan feel good nice' and 'Pterosaurs were common in the early and middle Cretaceous, but as the Cretaceous proceeded faced growing competition from the adaptive radiation of birds, and by the end of the period only two highly specialised families remained'. No we don't understand it either.
Andy -
Andy likes to think that he is the most important member of The Acid Test. He also likes to think he is a duck so maybe we should just ignore him. Andy plays guitar. Sometimes seen at gigs as a whirl of hair (at least until he recently had it all cut off to conform to society's many pressures!).
Matt -
Matt can play guitar just like a ringing a bell. He has brought a combination of song writing excellence and technical prowess to the band. In an interesting quirk of fate Matt has no knees.
(S)Andy -
Andy (or Sandy) is the youngest member of the band. He has a voice that both snarls and soothes. A bit like a throat lozenge made of razor wire. Nice. He has also started playing bass for the Test... sexy!!

Sounds Like: THE ACID TEST Reviewed for UKFM by IanThe first song I listened to was 'Spanked', I was mysteriously drawn by the title, don't ask me why! Immediately I realised that this band will Rock you long time! The Really powerful, gravelly vocals add real impact, and the music is a real throw back to bands such as Rage Against the Machine and Living Colour. Remember them? Listening to all the songs, and as a practising musician myself I can see that this band are well rehearsed and that a lot of time and thought has gone into the construction of the songs. For me the stand out track on their Myspace site has to be 'Come out to Play' The guitar riffs and appregios drive the song and give the song a real cutting edge. I have to be honest and say that i'm not a big fan of rock music and I am always dubious as a lot of rock bands can tend to sound the same however, The Acid Test do stand out and from the 4 songs that I have listened to I can see that there are a number of qualities they possess that a lot of aspiring Rock bands never grasp. It takes a good out and out rock band to impress me and The Acid Test have achieved that. Managed and promoted correctly I don't see any reason why this band cannot achieve success! I can tell they have worked hard for it so they deserve it. Well done lads, keep up the good work!posted for UKFM by Ian (Jobclub)
