The years no doubt have changed me.

About Me

I'm insanely creative -- or creatively insane, depending on your point of view. A rampant insomniac, native Californian (who, yes, still smokes even in the People's Republic of California), and all-around nutcase. Hey, at least I'll admit it, eh? Costumer (Yes, I did make that little gold outfit in the slide show.), prop maker, sculptor, painter, and about a dozen other "ers" to go right along with it. Former classical voice student with a nasty habit of breaking into song at inopportune moments. Goes with the territory, right along with all the movie quotations. Probably happiest during "crunch time", when projects are down to the wire, and everyone's running on fumes. And caffine. Lots and lots of caffine. Oh, and I should probably mention that I'm a raging Jack Sparrow afficianado, so if you can't stand the good Captain, I'm probably not someone to hang with.

My Interests

MUSIC! That's probably one of the biggest driving forces of my life. Also high on the list are: Costuming (the more outrageous the project, the better!), painting, sketching, sculpting, creative writing... just about anything that involves the creative process. Reading, (as a speed reader, I eat books for breakfast.)Movies Film and TV props and collectables. Sci-Fi/Fantasy. Eclectica in general...

I'd like to meet:

People of similar interests and dispositions. Beyond that... anybody's guess.

Music:

Oh, man... where to start! Ok, in the Classical catagory: Richard Wagner (Pronounced VAHG-ner to you non Germans :p )- Almost anything the man composed, with the possible exception of Parsifal. Puccini, Verdi, Bethoveen, Tchaikovsky, Thomas Tallis, Strauss (Richard more than Johann), Mozart's Requium Mass, and the occasional wandering selections of Brahms and Bach. In the more contemporary field of musicals: The Phantom of the Opera (the stage production. Especially with Michael Crawford. HATED the movie! Don't even get me started on it!), and a few other works of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Les Miserable, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Jeckyl and Hyde, and several others scattered here and there. The big obsession this time around, however, is WICKED! (Woo-hoo!) SOUNDTRACKS, SOUNDTRACKS, SOUNDTRACKS! The sheer amount here would be staggering, so I'll just list the top composers on my list: James Horner (my first love, so deal with it!), James Newton Howard, John Williams, John Barry, Maurice Jarre, Patrick Doyle (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) Klaus Badelt, and the man I find myself listening to constantly these days: Hans Zimmer. In the secondary division of soundtracks, X-Ray Dog and Immediate Music. These are the people who write a good deal of the tunes you hear in film trailers. You know... the ones that have you saying: "Hey... haven't I heard that someplace before?"And I've got favorite in just about every other musical genre. All across the spectrum. More to come. Keep watching this space.
