La banda fue fundada a mediados del año 2004 por Ienosuke Sato (batería), José Luís Perini (teclados) y Juan Pablo Olarte (guitarra) quienes habían planeado desde muy niños crear una banda de metal. Al tener claras las ideas del proyecto decidieron buscar un bajista, Juan David Gutiérrez apareció.
Luego de unos meses se presento la oportunidad de tocar en el bar de hard rock y metal LORD GAMBA. Para esa presentación la banda adoptó su actual nombre OBLIVION. En ese momento no tenían un vocalista. Contactaron a Esteban Mora (actualmente guitarra y voz) quien en ese momento solo actuó como front man de la banda.
La banda ha sufrido varios cambios en su alineación, por un corto periodo de tiempo entró como bajista Andrés Martínez (Victimized), y luego Diego Rodríguez (Jaque al Rey) lo reemplazó. Al mismo tiempo Camilo Aponte entró como el nuevo frontman del grupo. A finales de este año (2006) la banda tuvo una nueva alineación, llegando Carlos Arturo Gómez "Dito" (Voz), y de nuevo por un periodo temporal llego Juan David Gutiérrez "Guti" (bajo).
En la actualidad la alineación se conforma por, Carlos Arturo Gómez "Dito" voz Esteban Mora voz y guitarra, Juan Pablo Olarte, guitarra, Suke Sato, batería, José Luís Perini, en los teclados.

The band was founded in mid 2004 by Ienosuke Sato (drums), Jose Luis Perini (keyboards), and Juan Pablo Olarte (guitars), who had planned when they where young to create a metal band.
When they had all their ideas clarified, they decided to look for a bass player, Juan David Gutierrez appeared.
After some months they had the opportunity to play in the not anymore open to the public hard rock and metal bar called Lord Gamba. For that presentation the band adopted its actual name OBLIVION. In that moment they didn’t have a vocalist. They contacted Esteban Mora (guitars and vocals) who played the roll as front man in that moment.
The band has suffered various changes in its headline, for a short period of time Andrés Martinez (Victimized) entered as bass player, the Diego Rodriguez (Jaque al Rey) took this roll. By the same time Camilo Aponte made his appearance as the new front man. By the end of this year (2006) the band changed its headline, with Carlos Arturo Gomez “Dito” as the new vocalist, and again for a temporary period of time Juan David Guiterrez “Guti” took the roll as bass player. Now for this year of 2007, Esteban Mora stays as vocalist and guitarrist, Juan Pablo Olarte, guitar, Suke Sato, drums, Jose Luis Perini, Keys y Juan David Guitierrez, bass. This is the true Oblivion alignment.
In these days the band alignment is conformed by: Juan PAblo Olarte Garcia in guitarrs. Esteban Mora in vocals and guitars, Ieno Suke Sato in drums, Jose Luis Perini in keys and Carlos Aruto Gomez "Dito" in vocals
