I'm a nerd. Not a hardcore nerd, but a nerd. I play board games and card games alot. I get into the occasional video game, but I'll play something for a few weeks, then get bored of it and move on. I have a slight obsession with Japanese culture. I like the language and the history, but I haven't taken any classes on it or anything. I used to be a Trekkie in highschool. I guess my biggest interrest is films. I watch alot of movies; good, bad, and ugly. And I read some comics. Most comics are complete crap though. But Brian Michael Bendis is great. I can't wait to see how he does at his screenwriting attempt.
I'd like to meet Wil Wheaton again. He just a cool geeky guy, and it'd be awesome to get to hang out with him for a day or something. He was so cool the first time I met him, but it was at a con and I only got to talk to him for less than a minute. But I made him laugh. Cause I'm hawesome. I'd also like to meet Tadanobu Asano. He's such an amazing actor. Everything he's done has been amazing and he's such a humble guy. I'd just like to sit down with him and talk about what he thinks of acting and films and stuff.
Radiohead, Rhapsody, Orbital, Rob Dougan, J-Pop and J-Rock, Mr. Bungle, Tenacious D, Horse the Band, random shitty metal, alot of 80's new wave stuff. Fischerspooner and the Black Mages. Richard Cheese. CoCoRosie! Dresden Dolls. Freezepop. Nerdcore Hip-Hop. Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Godspeed You! Black Emperor. HORSE the band.
Oh man, alot. Too much to mention them all. Current favorites are The Big Lebowski and Ichi the Killer. The last good movie I saw in theaters was Pan's Labyrinth. But really, my LJ interrest list is over 100 actors and directors I like, so check that out if you really want to know.
Battlestar Galactica, House, Heroes, Studio 60, Scrubs, My Name is Earl. Been watching alot of Brit-coms. Black Books is awesome. Spaced, The IT Crowd, and Garth Meringi's Darkplace are great. The Mighty Boosh bugs me and the new Dr. Who just seems like average TV Sci-Fi to me. I reecently finished Deadwood, which was amazing.
I read Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk a while ago. Then I read everything else he's written. I'm also working on reading everything Neil Gaiman has ever written. I like Kurt Vonnegut's stuff as well. I read some comic books as well, but just stuff written by Brian Michael Bendis, J. Michael Straczynski, Frank Millar, and Marvel's Ultimate line of books. I've read a couple of Philip K. Dick's books and I plan on picking up some more. Lamb was neat, and Wicked has been suggested to me. I'm currently reading The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, and I think I'm gonna pick up the Song of Fire and Ice books, cause the Game of Thrones board game looks awesome.
