Hunter Dee has been in the music scene since 1993. When he was 16 years of age after buying his own set of decks and Mic he then started mixing but found himself hosting to the tunes instead. Since then he has made his name with hosting for big name DJ'S and MC'S throughout the country and abroad as well!!! Heres a few details about Hunter Dee you might want to know incase you wanna book this guy, you'll be missing out if you don't!!
Q) What was the first rave you ever went to, and where?
a)"The first rave I went to was in '93' at a club called the Crypt in Hastings with DJ Mickey Finn and DJ Rap headlining, it was the first "Heat" I was only 13 at the time so use to get one of the girls i'd be with to phone my mum and pretend she was a mum of a friend and tell her I was staying the night, I forged my old style black passport to make me 19 and said to the bouncers I had a growth problem! The first all night rave i went to was in '93' on Hastings Pier called "Unity". I use to go for the likes of Mickey Finn, Darren Jay, Dr S Gachet, Grooverider, Randall, Flux, GQ & MCMC as I was addicted to listening to cassettes of them. In the last few years since 2005 I have been Mcing at raves with them and it's strange as they were the legends who gave me the insipiration to become a Host/Mc."
Q) How would you describe yourself as an Mc?
Q) How would you describe your style of work when Mcing?
a) "Well when I come on the mic I free style, I have very rearly written my lyrics down or rehearsed them before stepping up. I believe that this is better for an Mc to come with fresh styles each time!" I believe this may have helped me with my hosting, I have been asked to host alot of professional artists sets because I let the crowd know its more about the DJ, I love letting the DJ's mixes breathe and then speak when its needed. Any good MC should learn to compliment the DJ some times, its good to let the music breathe!!."Q) Have you always been into the Jungle/Drum N Bass scene?
a) "Oh yes with out a shadow of doubt! I was into Hardcore (Old Skool) before Jungle was around and I've enjoyed hosting a few styles of music like Garage, Hardcore and old skool house. In 1999 I was offered a residency @ M20 nightclub in Ashford, Kent to host there Garage nights, In 2001 I was asked to host a Garage/House set for Jamiriquai at their Concert after party at Club Roxy in Prague, Czech Republic. I've been hosting at raves for Drum N Bass/Jungle all over the place since 2005. I am and always will be a Drum N Bass/Jungle/Hardcore raver! HUNTER DEE MCEvents and Arena's Played ::
