On Sunday mornings the rye and the barley take a rest. They soak up the sun for awhile. Most of the folks around here are at the meeting house, singing praises and passing around the offering basket. They contemplate and they ponder. They want to do something good for the world. It’s here that we fail and succeed at the same time. The bartender hears my congregation chanting the same verses that people have repeated for thousands of years, and it doesn’t make much of a dent. Not that it should. It’s supposed to be hard. That’s why most of this life is based upon faith and proof. If you are looking for the documentary: COME AND GO: THE SHINEBOX SESSIONS, CLICK HERE
