About Me

"All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD." Proverbs 16:2.Life is an adventure, and my own place in it seems to change constantly. My adventure has as its end truth in all of its forms. The quote from Proverbs illustrates an internal skepticism with my personal understanding (reached all too often in arrogance and an overinflated sense of my own intelligence). My adventure has partied and danced under many influences as I've devoured bars, concerthalls, libraries, and churches. I've traveled the world in airplanes, trains, cars, cruiseships, and books.. The world has shown me how small I am yet how powerful. I live as though apart from fate, the single greatest cause and effect of my past, current, and future circumstance.I love my wife more than my own breath. My son has become my destiny. My mother is the greatest teacher of how to succeed at life. My brother is the most well-rounded possessor of talent of anyone I've ever met.
