This profile is for our Capoeira group here in Austin. Our Mestre, Rodrigo Zerlotti, was the first Capoeira Mestre in the state of Texas to open classes and begin teaching this incredible martial art in 1993. Since then the group has grown a lot and continues to bring in great people as well as fostering a great level of energy. Recently we were blessed as Mestre Fran of Capoeira Maculelé and his family moved to town and are collaborating with our group to help grow Capoeira in Austin. We have people from all ages and experience levels! We train hard, we party hard and overall we try to instill the same passion we have for capoeira into everyone that comes to our studio! Capoeira is for everyone who has the will and it can bring forth many rewards in all aspects of life. It's not just a martial art you learn, it's a culture, a state of mind, and in it's most extreme - a way of living.
Martial art, music, acrobatics, and dance are it's main aspects, but not the only things you have the opportunity to learn. Feel free to come by our studio and see for yourself. We have classes Sunday - Thursday and your FIRST 2 CLASSES ARE FREE!
