About Me

Hello All,Um, well. I like chilling out by the coast when I get the chance, or anywhere green for that matter. Except that doesn't happen very often, as I'm normally trying to work! I don't like fish and haven't done since my brother developed the habit of picking me up and dangling me over the dead fish counter at supermarkets when we were younger. What else? I like music, thats quite obvious really. And good food. I used to live down the road from Sooty, y'know? ok, I'll stop talking now... MyGen Profile Generator

My Interests

Music and gig going!I keep fit by prancing (note I have not said 'dancing'...it can't be referred to as that) and hula hooping which I'm real good at. Cooking, and sampling real ales and wine (yes, sampling- not getting hideously drunk although sometimes a nasty side effect)

I'd like to meet:

adopt your own virtual pet!

Music:

Anything and everything within question, but mainly... Show of Hands, Martyn Joseph, Rilo Kiley, Seth Lakeman, Manu Chao, Paulo Nutini, Chicane, Basement Jaxx, Julie Fowlis, Amy Winehouse, most of those Wainwrights, Uiscedwr, BEP, Bowie, Springsteen, Jan Garbarek . I'll stop there but you get the picture?

Movies:

Hmm, Amelie for romance, Four Weddings and a Funeral for swearword variety, Martha Meet Frank, Daniel and Lawrence for London, St Elmo's Fire and The Breakfast Club for those stranger moments in life, Bellville Rendezvous, and Monty Python for giggles. Also A Knights Tale for Paul Bettany's bottom.

Television:

All I seem to watch now is cookery programmes- isn't that worrying? And to be honest I don't even watch many of those... I do watch Coast occasionally, but only for the nice Scottish bloke!

Books:

Cider with Rosie,House on the Strand, Shakespeare, especially 'Much Ado...', Orwell's 1984 is unbeatable.

Heroes:

Sally Taylor from South Today, sadly enough. Those who campaign for English produce, including Heston Blumenthal and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.

Very strange happenings...

Something very strange happened the other day. I was walking to uni to use the library computers (a change of scenery is vital when writing horrid essays, and a change of computers is as good as its g...

The Car Puddle

I don't know how to describe it...but basically, my car has a puddle. I hadn't been in it for a couple of weeks but then today I needed heavy things from Tesco's (uck, Tescos) so I figured I may as we...

Back from Lewis

What can I say? We met with councillors, crofters, a couple of folks from Scottish Natural Heritage, the minister of the local free church. And boy was that a bizarre service- in Gaelic from a mi...
