Howza goin? My name's Rory Quinn and I'm a singer/songwriter from the town of Greystones Co. Wicklow. well first of all, my life revolves around music, and that's that haha. i've been singing and performing from a very young age, it's mainly what I love and do best. I'm 18 years old and currently studying to get my degree in music, in Dundalk IT. At the moment I'm trying to put an EP together, so I find myself writing constantly and thinking up new ideas every day haha. I've only recently gotten into gigging around the place and I love it. I think every musician will agree that there's no better buzz than performing in front of a live audience. When I was 16, I came to be one of the finalists in RTE's 'You're a star', which gave me the boost of confidence i needed to go on to try and persue a musical career. Before 'You're a star', I was in the RTE youth choir 'Cor na nOg'. I gained alot of experience with the choir, from vocal training to performing. We performed with alot of big artists like Westlife, we performed in 'The Point Depot' for the 'Nutcracker' and also in 'Aras an Uachtaran' for the president. Last year I performed with Ronnie Drew in a charity concert for Ghana. Lately I have taken a huge interest in studio recording and producing. At the moment I'm working with a producer trying to get an EP together and at the same time learning a lot that goes on behind the scenes in the production side of things. Anyway a few of my old songs are up, so have a listen to them and tell me what you think. It will be a while before I get my new songs up, but I'll try to keep you posted. Later.
