Only one who'll get us out of this mess, the one who put us here.

About Me

Well, Gosh. How things change. Just like that, I am back in the midwest! I miss LA, but I'm diggin my current sitch; two-lane blacktop highways, roadkill, and gorgeous sunsets. I'm proud to say I'm working with a great crew, for a great company, on a show that may end up being very, very important.

My Interests

Making Feature films, Commercials, and Music Videos, Technology, documentaries, playing guitar, getting outside, blaming things on Windows, snowboarding, local music, travel, learning, teaching, new experiences.

I'd like to meet:

A girl with the same cell phone carrier. "I'd really like to listen to your story, but can it wait until I see you? I have to watch my minutes." Its not a cool position to be in. I'd like to meet David Lynch's personal bartender. I bet thats a sweet gig, living in the living quarters, making cozmo's or manhattans, working two, three times a day, sometimes more on the weekends. I'd also like to meet Neil Young, Stevie Wonder, Tim Burton, Madonna, Marc Cuban, Mithrandir, Whoever really runs America, Turtle, Drama, Moe Syzlak, Gary Oldman, Gary Busey, the beasties, the biz or the nudge'. But I'm always just as happy to meet someone who isn't famous.

Music:

I can't quit listening to My Morning Jacket. Cold War Kids, Beastie Boys, Beck, Hosty Duo, Mike Hosty, Hosty Trio, Heater, New Tribe, 10 LB Hammer Band of Horses, Porno for Pyros, Janes Addiction, Black Keys, Liz Phair, please be my friend! Matisyahu Red Hot Chili Peppers radiohead Flaming Lips Jane's Addiction Dinosaur Jr. Jason Boland & the Stragglers The Ills Gavin Degraw anything with acoustic guitar

Movies:

I actually don't see a lot of movies. But the few I've seen recently have been crap. Poorly poorly written, in particular. I mean the scenes are beautiful, and the talent is amazing, or at least amazing looking, and the action/laughs/drama is non stop, but I've heard better storytelling at the public library, outside! from a crazy guy with a cardboard sign that said 'I will work for booty' Dune, Fletch, Fresh, Big Trouble in Little China, Killing Zoe, Cable Guy, The Jerk, anything with Leo, Depp, Oldman, Pacino, or Buster Keaton

Television:

Family Guy, Lost, Simpsons, Battlestar Galactica, Boondocks, Fine Living Network, the Office, NASCAR, Studio 60 (sigh. . . ), Antiques Roadshow, Teletubbies (its refreshing to see a show that if you miss an episode, you're not screwed. Everybody gets along. The Sun, aptly played by Jessica Smith, cracks me up! The 'tubs is a show you can really get behind, too- you think 24 is going to be on for 10 years? Tim Whitnall's narration is like my anti-venom for the way over the top manly voice you hear every 27 out of 30 commercials now- plus if you miss something- don't worry, they repeat it 5 times!

Books:

Anything Douglas Adams, Siddhartha, Brave New World, L.O.T.R., The Earth Chronicles, DAVE EGGERS. I like interesting non-fiction. Chris' books on weather patterns, travel destinations, inner city kids- whatever is on his toilet is always great.

Heroes:

Any person that keeps on keepin on. Anyone who figures it out. Anyone who buckles down. Anyone who never looses sight of the fact that every minute here on Earth is a gift.

Happy 311 Day!
