Way to Vote No on Prop 8, Californians

Yeah, I voted. Voted like a felon! Oh wait...

About Me

From the Department of State website

"Majority rule is a means for organizing government and deciding public issues; it is not another road to oppression. Just as no self-appointed group has the right to oppress others, so no majority, even in a democracy, should take away the basic rights and freedoms of a minority group or individual.

Minorities -- whether as a result of ethnic background, religious belief, geographic location, income level, or simply as the losers in elections or political debate -- enjoy guaranteed basic human rights that no government, and no majority, elected or not, should remove."

I think 52.5% of voters in California forgot what liberty, equality, and democracy mean when they went to the polls.

My Interests

Film and film byproducts.

I'd like to meet:

I don't know. I don't like meeting my heroes; it always turns out as a disappointment. If I met Joss Whedon, he'd probably have that same "Oh, a fan! Thank you, get the fuck out of my face now" demeanor that all geniuses tend to have.

Music:

I'm expanding my interests. Someone recently helped me expand my music collection; but it turns out that he hates Nirvana and the Foo Fighters! How could I have accepted such a faustian gift?

Movies:

Blarg.

Television:

Television is my field, but there are too many shows to count.

Books:

Beasts of No Nation, Uzodinma Iweala
The Interpreter of Maladies, Jhumpa Lahiri

Heroes:

I don't know. I think I'd be disappointed if I met my heroes.
