About Me

So here it is. The "About Me" section. What is there to say, really? I am who I am. There are things about me that some people like, some people don't, and mostly others just don't care. So, I have decided to start making a list of all the things I do that I feel make me who I am. So here it is:1. Green will always be the color I choose. If we are playing a game that involves colored tokens and you want to be green, forget it. If you take the last Green M&M away from me, you can bet I will hold a grudge. 2. Speaking of board games, I love them. I love them to death. They feed my competitive nature. You want to make sure I have a good time? Then let's play a board game. 3. I like being the first person to cross a street when the light changes. 4. I have had each and every flavor of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream. (Notice: This does not include flavors that have been retired to the Flavor Graveyard) 5. I still like Fast Food, despite having seen Super Size Me and reading Fast Food Nation. 6. I could talk to you for days about Theatre, and still be insanely enthusiastic about it. Get me talking and its hard to shut me up. 7. I go to Cornish College of the Arts. Go me. 8. I blame my Home-Body nature, my unyielding love of my friends and family, and my immense secretive self on the fact that I am a Cancer in the Zodiac. Please see the following:

I'd like to meet:

When I die I hope to meet Shakespeare and Lorca. As for the living... well... I still haven't decided. Maybe you? Maybe not. I don't add people I don't know. If you think you know me, all I ask is that you send a message to me first introducing yourself. I also don't pay attention to MySpace Music or whatever it is... so the chances of me adding your band are slim to none. Reminder: I don't add people I don't know. However, I will add neat, cool, awesome, funny, witty and all around fun people... who I know.

Music:

I have a very big place in my heart for music. Nothing makes me feel more alive. So, I like to hear everything, and give everything a chance. I do have to admit that sappy country, and hardcore rap, oh and those stupid late-80s and early-90s hair bands (Poison, etc.) THOSE are some of the things i can't STAND to listen to... also the stuff where they just scream...who wants to hear that? However some of my favorites include: Suzanne Vega Sarah Mclachlan Norah Jones The Cure Daft Punk Pink Floyd Pink Martini Telepopmusik Scissor Sisters Butterfly Boucher Lemon Jelly Imogen Heap

Movies:

My top 5 favorite movies are as follow. 1. Amelie - the odd-ball french film that always gives me a warm feeling inside. If anything, this movie makes me hopeful about my future as a person and as an artist.2. Angels in America - A better play to movie translation has never been done. A beautiful script turned into a heart-wrenching movie.3. Edward Scissorhands - A classic. I grew up with this movie, and I am sure a movie has never made me cry more often.4. First Wives Club - I mean sweet jesus look at the cast -Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn, Diane Keaton, Maggie Smith, Sarah Jessica Parker, Eileen Heckart (who played Dianne's mother), EVEN Stockard Channing! It always makes me laugh... a lot.5. A Very Long Engagement - The next film by the same director as Amelie (see above) A darkly funny movie that is just beautiful through and through.

Television:

Don't watch a whole lot of Television... but the few shows that i do enjoy are Carnivale, Sex and the City, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Twin Peaks, America's Next Top Model, and Family Guy. That really is about it... OH! and whenever one of those Haunted House shows are on the History/Discovery/Learning Channel I always like to watch those. Yeah i know it's weird.

Books:

I do enjoy reading. My favorite author is Christopher rice, Anne rice's son, and author of The Snow Garden A Density of Souls, as well as Light Before Day(my favorite). I read a lot of plays. Some of my favorites are Lorca in a Green Dress by Nilo Cruz, Angels in America by Tony Kushner, and of course Twelfth Night By William Shakespeare (aka God). Tales of the City series by Armistead Maupin. It's pure gold. The most addicting book series you will read (next to Harry Potter). Lamb:The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore and it was VERY good, VERY funny, and just... enjoyable to read. Oh and i can not forget the wonderous Harry Potter books, love those.

Heroes:

I have yet to find someone i would label as a "Hero". i would say the person i look up to the most is Judy, my high school theatre teacher. She gave me inspiration and encouragement to do with my life what I want.
