He goes by the moniker Dj Rasta Root. And for 10 years he has been spreading his interpretation of Hip Hop through out the world. Originally from Canada, Roots has traveled from the US to Europe to Japan spinnin' nothing but the hottest joints, taking elements of turntablism as well as club mixing, to bring what he calls a "style less style". For the past 14 years, one of the founding members of Smokin' Needles Records, Dj Rasta Root has become an integral part of hip-hop worldwide. In addition to providing management to Tribe Called Quest's Phife Dawg, Slick & Rose, Chip Fu and Cheryl Boise Tayor, he currently controls the turntables and produces for the likes of Phife. Together, they run Smokin' Needles Records. Rasta Root has put out solid mix tapes consistently that get great reviews in many publications. KIKI'S CELEBRITY BOWLING CHALLENGE
The mission of KiKis 3rd Celebrity Bowling Challenge founded by celebrity host and performer, Kiki Shepard, is to raise awareness about Sickle Cell Disease, an inherited, non-contagious blood disease that can be crippling, painful, and life threatening. The CBC weekend stresses the need to educate the public about this fatal disease, and to stimulate continued dialogue about how it is spread, its debilitating effects, and the need to get tested now. KiKis 3rd Celebrity Bowling Challenge is a fun-filled experience that will bring celebrities, businesses, families, and friends of all ages together in service.
