Music
My name is John Riccio.
I write the music I play, and play the instruments to make the music I write.
I believe that music is the the personification of all things left unsaid.
With that said, I play and endorse Eastwood Guitars, along with Matthew Sweet, Will Sergeant (Echo and the Bunnymen), and Earl Slick (David Bowie).
I scored music for a television series called Guidehouse; you can hear it now on ESPN2.
An upcoming EP, entitled Tomorrow Is What It Used To Be, will be released in summer '07. The self-produced EP will feature co-production from Ethan Allen (Tricky, Luscious Jackson, Throwing Muses) on various tracks.Me
I love music but loathe musicals ( and no - Tommy and Rent have not changed my mind). I drink unseemly amounts of water, take excessively long showers, but sink like a stone in the ocean. I have one of the worst oral fixations of anyone I've ever come across. I'm good about taking my vitamins, or as the British say, "veetamins." I want a potbelly pig ( because chimps kick your ass when they get older). I have a major crush on Chan Marshall. I have a maddening habit of playing the same song over and over again even though I appreciate albums more. I'm a former skateboarder who continues to look at the world with those eyes. I'd like to be able to settle any score using the rock/paper/scissors method. And I'll sit through anything bad with you, as long as it's done well.
