NYC 80'S CULT DEATH METAL BAND....ARSENICwas formed in 1984 by Henry Isaac in the South Bronx section of New York City along with some friends Jr. Rosario on Drums,Jeff Gonzalez on Bass and Rob Cintron on Guitar.They released a demo featuring songs like "Church of Doom" and "Sons of Satan".In 1985 with Jeff and Rob out of the band I joined ARSENIC and played Bass on the "Beneath The Grave" demo.Henry had now taken on the Guitar duties as well as vocalist and Jr. remained on Drums.By 1986 Jr. had also left leaving me and Henry as the only members.Being in the South Bronx we had a hard time finding anybody who would want to do Death Metal so we ended up doing several projects instead.One being a Thrash Metal band called KAMCHATKA (Henry Isaac -Vocals & Guitar, John Isaac-Bass, Jeff Gonzalez-Drums)which we did several demo's.Finally in late `87 me and Henry got ARSENIC back together by adding new members Ray Reynoso on Lead Guitar and Mark Minguella on Drums and we recorded the "Souls Lie Screaming" demo in 1988.While working on our next demo "Hallucinations" I ended up leaving NYC and moved to Boston and was replaced on Bass by Ray Urbina ,who would move away himself in the coming year. Shortly after that Mark moved on as well and after trying many replacements and many attempts to keep the band going Henry disbanded ARSENIC in 1990.Now 20 years later thanks to Killjoy(Necrophagia/Baphomet)and Patrick(Red Stream)you can get our old demo's on CD.ARSENIC "Seeds of Darkness" is available at Red Stream as well as many online stores.If you are into old school Death/Noise Metal pick up a copy and travel back to 1985.
