We would like to meet people who are independent musicians and community activists and people with great ideas. We also would like to make contacts with people who still feel that there is a way that the truth in music can bring a benefit to all of us, grass roots people - in the community - to the world at large.The idea of Music for Charities (MFC) is simple. Independent music is available for downloads. Charities are listed to be uplifted. The MFC slogan is simple: Download. Uplift. You choose who you'd like to listen to. You choose who you'd like to benefit with your gift. At $0.99 per song, you can't go wrong. At the end of the day, $0.75 goes to charity and $0.10 goes as royalties to the artist. The remaining $0.14 covers the costs to run the site (merchant accounts, bandwidth, etc.).It's a simple model for all of us to benefit from.We would like to meet people who might agree, And maybe anyone that would want to help organize in this cause in this area of the country.
