Friends and family say that I am genuine and generous. Employers and co-workers say that I am smart and conscientious. Teammates say that I am fun yet focused. And everyone always wants to know what I did over the weekend! I say that I am healthy and passionate. I have many passions, mostly centered around adventure, fitness and relationships. I need a regular dose of escaping the stresses of everyday life and the number one outlet for me right now is cycling. Downtime usually includes a good beer, a burger, and hanging with some good friends. There is never enough time for work, adventures, responsibilities or catching up with friends, but I embrace the challenge of trying to make it all work. I can always make time for a friend or family member in need and I enjoy a fair share of character building conversations.Disclaimer: I am NOT a salesman so the only way to get to know me and what I am about is to start a conversation!

My Interests

I am into just about anything adventurous, but in the interest of time I have cut the primary list down to the following: competitive cycling (XC and road), inline speed skating, back country skiing, fishing, kayaking, rock climbing, mountaineering, ocean swimming and running. When I need to rest, I enjoy hanging with family or friends, catching a good flick, brushing up on technology, hearing a good band or just getting out of town and seeing something new.

I'd like to meet:

Friends of friends, anyone with similar interests who enjoys a good conversation, and of course, miss right. You have to be real though. Life is meant to be more than just superficial. Do you believe that happiness is a decision? Are you honest with yourself and looking for someone who is the same? Do you strive to make the most out of life? If so, then drop me a note! I would love to hear from you.

Music:

Anything Rock, just about. I am not a huge fan of any band, but here are some that I don't expect to ever get sick of: U2, INXS, Van Halen, Alice in Chains, Beck, Foo Fighters, Muse, Audioslave, Linkin Park, and Aerosmith.

Movies:

I usually need action to stay interested, but I also enjoy a good story that makes me think (as long as there are a few stunts mixed in!). Matrix Reloaded is still at the top of my list. Comedies are always great with a fun group. No stunts required.

Television:

I don't really have time for much TV. The tele does seem to get more use though during the Tour de France and the NFL season.

Books:

Favorite has to be "It's not about the bike" by Lance Armstrong. Other gems: Mars and Venus on a Date, Mastering the Zone, Conquer the Crash and the Mountain Biker's Training Bible. The rest of my reading time usually involves trade journals, magazines, or something that I can learn from.

Heroes:

John Muir, Lance Armstrong, my Grandparents, Mom and Dad, Jesus of Nazareth and any physically challenged athlete.
