Dakota Late Night

Food, Jazz, Wine, Late, Cheap!

About Me

Late Night at the Dakota is, well, late nights at the Dakota Jazz Club (1010 Nicollet Ave. in downtown Minneapolis). It runs from 11:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. every Friday and Saturday, featuring a variety of local jazz groups. A list of justifications for us to demand your humble patronage:
1. Cheap cover ($5, or free if you show up later)
2. Cheap drinks ($3.50 taps and house wines)
3. Cheap eats (wings, fries, and more)
4. Adventurous music by local luminaries, from old school to cutting-edge, swing to acid.
5. It's not nearly as difficult as you would think to park on the street. And it's free. There are also several $3 and $4 ramps within a few blocks.
6. You're supporting your local everything.
6(tie). Spending two nights in a row at the C.C. Club gets boring sometimes.
8. If you're a hipster, you'll find plenty of company. If you're not, you'll find the same.
9. We try harder.
10. Because.
11. Sleep is for suckers.
This is one of the most exciting things to happen for the jazz scene everywhere...
its worth taking a look at this months line-up:
