About Me

While growing up in Lewistown, PA, Bill Womer found himself spending more time riding his bike, inline skating, or playing soccer than anything else. When the pain and suffering of his parents’ divorce had finally set in, he found himself at every party in the area. It was along with the drugs that Bill found a likeness and a skill for lyricism and rhyming over beats. He loved to challenge himself with freestyling over others’ songs and writing lyrics when inspiration hit him. His first recorded track was called “Brainstorm Rhyme” and was recorded by Grant Wilson in his small home studio around 2000. The evolution began.
Not so far off in the future, he met a few other people who shared the same passion for writing. So Bill (at the time: Bo), Krazed, Briza, Big Lazy and KEI collaborated on instrumentals and recorded an album under the group name Elite Entertainment titled “Microphone Diaries”. Due to families moving and lost interests, the group was left with only Bo and Krazed. After a change of name and new verses, they brought you “The Elite – A New Beginning”.
This is where the real story begins. While finishing “A New Beginning”, God brought his future wife into the picture. She turned him towards Jesus (Bill claimed he was raised in a Christian home, but never had solid beliefs) and he was convicted of the things he was rapping about and how he lived his life in general. His convictions continually grew stronger and he gave his life to the Lord in 2003. He had prayed for salvation about a year prior to this, but had not made an attempt to “walk the walk”.
Following his passion, Bill did not give up on rhyming. He pushed through the work for his first Christ-centered album titled “Transitions” – named so for this transitioning period in his life. BillyBo quickly came back with “Follow Me” with 8 fresh tracks. “Follow Me” would later get sent to over 20 record labels with little to no response. With prayer and diligence, Bill continued with his hope of reaching others through music for Jesus in spite of feeling defeated.
Now married for two years, BillyBo released “So Amazing” – a 17-track solo effort with beats created by Johnny Bishop and himself, with help from Benjamin Q. He was also blessed with exceptional cameos from other artists such as Change, Noiz, Benjamin Q, Aaron Paul the zombiekat, and Johnny Bishop. One listen through the album will prove the listener of BillyBo’s passion for Christ and music.
BillyBo is currently building relationships through music that he hopes will last. If you are interested in supporting BillyBo – by purchasing cd's or having him perform – please see the contact information above. BillyBo is also open to any album reviews and interviews.
