Who the f*ck is Capcom Ninja?!

I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I DJ at a couple of bars in Brighton and I play at various club nights around here and beyond. I sometimes play under the guise of Capcom Ninja, but you'll usually see me listed as Dean Austyn. I'm one of the residents at Vanilla and at Koba and I play various Fridays and Saturdays throughout the month. It's all about house music for me but you'll catch me playing all sorts to spice it up, as long as it isn't commercial shite, not that commercial is a bad thing all the time. If it's good, I'll play it.I've promoted nights and played most of the clubs in Brighton, but The Concorde and the Funky Buddha have been highlights for me. I've been lying low on the club scene due to other commitments recently, but keep your eye cos I'm due a renaissance...

My Interests

Games, games , games. From video games to old mans pub games. Break open a pack of cards and I'm there. Decent clubs - There is a whole wave of good stuff happening in Brighton at the moment. Man, all sorts of stuff really. I rarely sit still for that long. I have the attention span of an eight year old.

I'd like to meet:

In no particular order; [1] Anyone fun and outrageous yet loosely together [2] Slaves of the service industry - the penultimate party people, falling closely behind nurses and cabin crew - they're just plain dangerous! [3] Anyone who is into good music and good times - DJ's, musicians, club promoters, and any folks up for a good party [4] Anyone who would choose Ken or Ryu [4a] or to be honest, anyone who actually gets that sentence [5] Anyone new to Brighton who wants to know where the parties are at [6] Old skool Brightonians too. We are a rare yet very sorted breed [7] Man, anyone who wants to get in touch. Say hello!

Music:

I've been dj'ing and putting on parties for a decade plus now. I'm playing about with production too at the moment. My style is pretty diverse. I try to keep true to house, but you can't avoid the tasty breaks, techno and broken beat that is about at the moment. To see my influences check out my heroes and my moospace friends. I also don't go many days without listening to one of the following artists; Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley, Jamiroquai, Nirvana, Radiohead, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Pearl Jam, Queens of the Stone Age, The Electric Chair Albums, The Detroit Soul, New York Soul etc Albums and loads of other stuff. Mmmm... music is good.

Movies:

S T A R W A R S... I could watch them everyday if it didn't mean sacrificing my life. ROTJ is probably my fave, but love Empire and New Hope and ROTS. AOTC and Episode one are admittedly a bit iffy but the pod race in episode 1 is awesome - and Darth Maul is the coolest villain ever. Period. Oh... and the first time you see Yoda kick arse!!! OMFG...Yep, what a geek!Don't get me started on Marvel either. Spidey rules!!Vader Plays The Blues
