KEEPING THE FAITH

About Me

Born in london and a life long black music fan since hearing our west indian neighbours playing toots and the maytals at sound levels that sent my grandad crazy.teenage years were spent dancing at london clubs such as crackers, global village and america's. Early dj gigs were basically me and my studio one collection in the back room of west end black clubs while the 'big people' grooved to rene and angela and leroy hutson.First real gig was when paul oakenfold booked me to spin at a run dmc /beastie boys after party alongside tim westwood(i was awfull and realised hip hop wasnt my route).
Along came house music and once again im spinning dusty old reggae at spectrum while downstairs thousands jack to trevor fung and oakie... im afraid the reggae went west and i joined in the chant.BOYS OWN(www.juniorboysown.com) the fanzine/the partys/the record label all followed alongside mates andrew weatherall, cymon eccles, steve mayes and steve hall, remix wise a long partnership with pete heller saw many a long night twiddling nobs for the likes of robert owens, new order, micheal jackson and a plethera of rubbish pop bands and a load of ace house records.
FAITH (www.faithfanzine.con) was started in 1999 with pals stuart patterson, dave jarvis and leo elstob and bill brewster we run partys at clubs such as the key and turnmills,we also run the worlds only print house fanzine and have a savage message board.I love the following very very much..sue and the kids/cfc/rhubarb and custard/house music/roots revival/supreme and stussy/80s trainers/derrick carter mixtapes/london pie and mash shops.
