•ABOUT US•
As you may know (and are probably getting tired of), portraitsinglass has gone through numerous line-up as well as style changes. Now we finally have something that we hope to take somewhere. Bassist Matt Widuch and veteran singer Michael Licitis have redefined the band with the help of guitarist Brian Bear Butler of Lombard and drummer Mike Bentel. We’ve taken the hardcore influence of Brian, the metal influence of Matt, and the pop/melodic influences of Michael and Mike to create our new style. We are seperating ourselves from past failures and looking forward to make something better and more unique. We are now brothers. Not by birth, but brothers nonetheless and through shitty times and schedule conflicts, we will still persevere and find time for one another. At the moment, Michael and Matt are attending WIU and are roommates. Mike is attending CoD, and Brian is working full time on cars and starting up with another band. We will be able to play and be a band still, but shows will be harder because of distance. We hope to open the doors to a broader audience and appeal to more people. Just remember the one thing that hasn’t changed, and that’s our name…portraitsinglass.
•THANK YOU•
Thanks a lot to everyone out there who has supported us. It means the world, because we couldn’t do it without you guys and the music world, especially local, is a dog-eat-dog world, so thanks to those that care. Special thanks to Kip and Chris Nance for putting up with our shit and letting us practice, and also, shout outs to Lauren, Angela, Nicole and Danielle. We love you all! (with the exception of probably a few, because that's life). Also, thank you to our booking/promotion companies "i would" "Chaos Promotions" "Screaming Beaver Records" "Your Last Resort" and "Stand Still" Anyone we may have forgotten, please accept this apology.
