Well, where can I start with music? Well, let me start by saying to listen to my band "Mother Necessity", you can check us out @ (www.myspace.com/mothernecessity). MUSIC CONSUMES ME!!!!! I have listened to, been involved with, and performed it all my life. There is something bigger than life itself about being able to connect with people through lyrics and song. You can equate it to having a conversation or telling a story. It's probably the best therapy there is. When you can make someone forget about the bad day that they've had at work, or the bad relationship that they can't get out of it really lifts you up. Even though you cannot solve the world's problems it's always nice to know that someone can relate to what you've been through or, that they are going through the same thing and that you have given them a little bit of clarity in their situation or circumstance. Sincere song writing comes from experience and life is full of so many tapped and untapped experiences that one can call on. I could waste all day on this but, I will just leave you with my favorite. "The Five Heartbeats" is a must see so, if you haven't seen it, check it out. It's directed by Robert Townsend.
Pretty much, the only t.v. that I watch involves music. Every now and then I try to educate myself with the discovery channel and the history channel. Other than that, I'm a DVD rental/buyer kinda guy! Never can have too many DVD'S in the collection.
