About Me

Step One, born in Virginia, was raised in an atmosphere of musical poverty. He found a tape by Nas and started as an avid listiner. As time advanced he tested the water with novic-like drievel. Not born with any gift, he merely worked on perfecting his craft like a Micheal Jordan or Neo from the Matrix. He worked with several groups but only in recent years did he take it serious and read numerous books. At that point he put significant amounts of money into himself and solicited the services of a manager, pulicist, and laywer. Influences: Anyone who ever stood for something. Anyone who ever went against the grain. Anyone who ever thought independently. Anyone who ever took a stand even when it meant certain death! Olay, I'll give you a little more... I will say with in the Hip Hop realm Common, and Nas, but as far as great thinkers I would say Lewis Latimer(inventer the carbon filiment that made the light bulb possible), William R. Bowers(my father), Socrates(a great philosipher) and of course Jesus(my God in physical form)
