Myspace CommentsI love the rain. I love the snow. Skiing. Beaches in the spring, fall, winter (summer is out of the question, since I hibernate from June - August). Tennis. Crossword puzzles (fanatic of Sunday NY Times). Swimming (not in shark-infested waters). Snorkeling (hmmm ... guess not-shark-infested is kind of out of the question with this particular endeavor ... not many fins in a swimming pool, but, other than the drain, not much to see, either). Music. Music. Music. The environment (haven't owned a car in 24 years ... one less gas-guzzler/user/polluter on this ever-dissolving planet). Animals (God's BEST creation ... they exist by instinct and emotion; man lives by his brain (or lack thereof), which seems, for some, to be on the fritz). Needlepoint. Bicycling (on flat surfaces). Walking (on flat surfaces). Running (NOT!!!). Photography. Art. Theater. Dancing (my butt off ... though not so you'd notice). Singing (please bring ear-plugs).

All of my Friends on my MS page; all of the groups/singers listed under my music favorites. Toulouse Lautrec (for him, I'd do the can-can in the nude ... and, please understand, ONLY for him, so don't get any funny ideas here). Vincent van Gogh (so I could save him and his ear and get him back to his easel). Pauline Collins (fabulous and under-rated actress). Nice people. Funny people. Fun People. Outrageous (but not kinky) people. God (wonder what She looks like). Oh, yes ... and not as an aside ... Johnny Depp (for him, I'd also do the can-can in the nude as long as he wore a blindfold)! Ahhh, to be le belle jeune fille! He's GORGEOUS! SMART! AN AMAZING ACTOR!

Spencer Davis Group - Gimme Some Lovin'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5iFrYTRyy4
A Zany B&W Video of "Gimme Some Lovin'" by the Spencer Davis Group (big part of the "British Invasion") -- Note the VERY young Steve Winwood!
Re-runs (and old ones, at that): I Love Lucy. Andy Griffith. Cheers. Frazier. Mad About You. All In the Family (Calgon, or some such retro-substance, "TAKE ME AWAY"). CNN. MSNBC (most all). Discovery Channel. Court TV. A&E. Food Network (I'm such a Foody). Game Show Network. Don't watch many contemporary shows (sitcoms/dramas/"reality" gar-BAGE). I've come to love "Sex and the City" whenever I can catch the reruns.
Bridget Jones' Diary. In Cold Blood. And Never Let Her Go. Helter Skelter. 'Til Death Do Us Part (both of the last 2 books are by Vincent Bugliosi). Fatal Vision. Anything by Ann Rule. All interesting books ... true crime stories, where the bad guy always gets caught (must be the latent detective in me). Also love biographies and most non-fiction books. Oh, yes ... and musn't forget "The Saggy, Baggy Elephant" ... it really IS a book ... LOOK it up!
My mom! She raised 3 little girls (who are now fabulous old ladies) by herself, in a house with no electricity, no indoor plumbing (save for a cold-water sink in the kitchen) ... it had a wood/coal-burning stove ... kerosene lamps were our only illumination (don't ask about the having-to-go-to-the outhouse thingy, especially when hineys were in danger of freezing ... and the spiders ... ewwww). We were given baths while standing on a chair by the cold-water sink (the water having been heated in a kettle on the aforesaid wood/coal-burning stove) ... no helmet or seat (chair) belt, yet we never fell onto the floor ... amazing balance, I guess), and read to by my Mom every night (Grimm's Fairy Tales was a favorite, as were "Babar," "Madeline," "Curious George," "Pippy Longstocking," "Ping," etc.). She died too young (aged 60) from ovarian cancer (damned female organs)! She was THE BEST! And she taught me how to love and be loved (although I don't always get that one right), and to treat others as we want to be treated! And she was so non-judgmental ... accepting of everyone. She kissed and hugged us often, and told us we were loved. She was of the ilk that "If you don't having something nice to say about someone, don't say anything at all," and, conversely, if you have something nice to say, say it."
