Film making/watching, painting, sculpture, martial arts practice and instruction especially judo and jujitsu. I would also love to travel more in the future. I would like to read more Spanish and someday learn Catalan, which is a language that my Father and Grandmother speak. Talking about behavior (among other things) with my little sister "La Reyna" and talking to my fraternal twin brother about all sorts of weirdness.
I would love to meet other fearless artists, actors, dancers, and musicians. I would also love to meet scientists, philosophers, researchers and teachers. Fearless people who love to think and act. (Not just dramatic acting, but to take action.)
My tastes are too varied to mention. I listen to a selection that ranges from progressive metal to classical/symphonic, to alternative, punk, classic rock, experimental, new age (just a little), world music, folk music, and the list goes on!
I love nearly all types of movies in all genres except musicals. I do love some musicals, but on the whole I think that they work better on the stage. Some of my favorite movies are Fargo, Hunt for Red October, Re-Animator, Evil Deads, Manhunter, Jaws, The Incredibles, My Cousin Vinny, The Thing (1982), Usual Suspects, The Fugitive, Amadeus, Name of the Rose, Orlando, Galaxy Quest, Misery, Dr Strangelove, Harold and Maude, Rocky Horror Picture Show. Excorcist, Shine, Bad Taste, Delicatessen, City of Lost Children and the list goes on!
I don't watch television at the moment, but when I did I really enjoyed Northern exposure, Cheers, Star Trek, Mythbusters, and any nature show with insects. The list goes on here as well.
Yikes! So many! Okay, a small sample: An Anthropologist on Mars, Awakenings, (pretty much all Oliver Sacks works), Day of the Dead. Crussi, Notes of an Anatomist. Crussi, The Five Senses. Crussi, Suspended Animation. Crussi, (Okay, everything by Frank Gonzales Crussi). Crussi has written a number of books of essays that are wonderful! Back to the list: Warmth Disperses and Time passes. Hans Christian von Baeyer, Brainscapes. Restak, The Gift of Fear. Gavin de Becker and finally The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. (ya never know!)
