Selina is a late bloomer in the music industry. Having written songs solidly for the past 3 years, singing for little over a year developing, making mistakes, recording and re-recording, each day she gets closer to perfection. She makes a habit of creating music that she wouldn't want to give away, writing song lyrics that are deep and meaningful to her.
Her vocal sound can only be described as British Soul crossing over nu-soul, hip hop to broken beat production. The interest in Selina is forever growing and the industry can only anticipate that Selina will have a lasting presence. She hopes that her work is as touching to her listeners as it is to her. Her songs touch on subjects such as love, marriage and heartbreak, her childhood and even death.
"I don't know where the inspiration comes from, it just comes and I don't analyse it too much. If I feel something that pulls a heart string, it comes out in writing without a warning" Selina promises that in each song is a real-life story be it hers or yours.On her journey she has worked with the most talented producers, and is currently developing her sound with the phenomenal Guynamite, the wonderful Son of Dan and amazing TE1. She is also involved in projects with talented producers, Analogue Jones, MAQman, Guwain and Tha Architect.
"I do feel like I have found the right combination with Guy, Son of Dan and TE1. I'm also enjoying the project work I am doing with others. I have really quickly developed as an artist since meeting these guys and this year will be very constructive."
