"I came to Last Rites six months ago, with no real artistic background or any experience, whatsoever, in tattooing. I walked in like an idiot, asking Liorcifer (Paul's apprentice) if Paul was taking any apprenticeships. Liorcifer said no, but looked at my portfolio, anyways, and, with a stroke of luck, he thought it was good enough to show Paul. Paul looked at it and told me he was too busy, having one apprentice already, to take on another, but before I left, he called in all the artists and asked them if they wanted to apprentice me as a group. Now, after nearly five months of studying how each artist here works, I've finally been allowed to put ink to flesh, and with the supervision of all the artists in the shop, my work has really evolved into a dark style that I didn't know I was capable of producing. I've done four pieces here at Last Rites, thus far, and with each piece I've tried new techniques, combining everything that I've seen the artists do here. I'm really proud of the work that I've produced, and I'm assuming that the guys here are too, because I haven't been fired yet.
