One time, when I was 16 and living in Kenosha, Wisconsin, my band broke up and I got bored and recorded a couple of songs on my computer with Microsoft Sound Recorder and a really terrible microphone. I named the project something catchy sounding and told everyone I knew about it. Somehow, I ended up playing a bunch of shows and selling a lot of those recordings. A lot of people told me I couldn't sing. Later on, I joined a band and stopped doing solo stuff for a really long time. Then, like a year later, that band broke up and I started doing solo stuff again and named it something else. Receiving little to no reaction from it, I joined yet another band and repeated the cycle. It ended up back where it started. I changed the name back and spent a bunch of money on professional recordings that I never ended up using. I moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan in Fall 2007 and played some shows. I eventually changed the project to my actual name, which is probably what I should have done from the beginning. I bought some recording equipment and started recording myself again, and that's basically where I'm at now.
