My name is Stu and I'm currently studying to be a Registered Nurse at the University of Tasmania...I'm a Volunteer Ambulance Officer...I practice Wing Chun Kung Fu, I dabble at making electronica and I play Double Bass, Electric Bass and Keys............

I play in a band called the Embers and we've recorded our debut E.P. and looking to tour it in next two months. My background stems from jazz, rock and electronica but I also dig alot of other varied styles of music.............

We were voted the winners of the Jim Beam National Campus Band Competition Grand Final on the 25th Oct in Sydney and played the Fall's Festival on New Years for the second time...........The 2007 Southern Roots Festival was great fun to play in April and such awesome bands to be on the same bill with, like the Pixies, Wolfmother, Gomez, Xavier Rudd, The Vines, The Lemonheads, Midnight Juggernauts, Ben Kweller, Angus & Julia Stone, The Dili Allstars & Pnau were all favorites.

Exams have just finished so I'm looking forward to a few weeks break before we have our CD launch on August the 18th.......hope to see you there.
