Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, Harold’s interest for dance music started at the age of thirteen when his father bought him a double deck radio. Right away, he began making mix tapes for himself and before long, he started to hand them out to the people in his neighborhood. Soon afterwards, his mix tapes that featured tracks off the Breakin’ album and artists such as Run DMC and the Fat Boys were starting to get noticed by the break dancers in his community; a sign of good things to come.As Harold got older and his interests were changing, his passion for music drifted towards a more electronic sound, with the likes of Depeche Mode, David Bowie, New Order, and Pink Floyd leading the way. As the 80’s ended and the 90’s paved the way towards electronic dance music, Harold started to find the style that follows him to this day.Today, Harold is a DJ who uses the 4/4 beat as his canvas. He loves to take his listeners on a journey which starts off with minimal and tech house to keep his crowds in anticipation; waiting for the ride. Once he has buckled them into the groove, he then takes flight with the sounds of techno and electro which gives his audience an emotional rollercoaster that they never want to end. Throughout, he plays with your mind, trying to figure out what curves and drops are up ahead, but as the conductor, only Harold knows for sure. You can describe his sets as deep, dark, and sexy, with basslines that can rip through the floor of a club, but until you hear him in action, you can never fully understand the effect of his unique sound. From the breakbeats of the 80’s to the tech-house sounds of today, his elemental understanding of dance music might be the reason why he could firmly position himself amongst the most respected DJs of the world.
