Photo Studios
The Photo Studios provides affordable rates for emerging and professional photographers to shoot, test, spec, and create. The studio features a 20 ft. CYC wall, a brick wall with windows offering southern exposure, optional black out curtains, and a separate wardrobe/make-up area.
With an intimate setting, a knowledgeable staff and available equipment, we have the perfect studio for still life, portrait, beauty and fashion. In addition, 3rd Ward offers on-site producer/production coordination, special packages, and facilities to hold pre-production meetings and castings.
The Wood & Metal Fabrication Shops
We provide the equipment to make all of your spark- and sawdust-laden dreams come true.Shared bench space or private shop spaces are available for rent.
The Wood & Metal Fabrication Shops are large, fully equipped professional areas designed for wood workers, welders and sculptors. Included are a ventilated finishing room, spray booth, and a tool checkout closet. 3rd Ward also provides on hand skilled monitors.
Digital Media Lab
The Digital Media Lab features stations and software for video, audio, and image editing as well as animation and design. The lab also boasts scanning and high-quality, large-format digital printing capabilities. In addition, the lab offers weekly classes and workshops covering everything from basic Adobe Photoshop skills to FinalCut Pro.

Classes
Most of our classes are project based, and class sizes are small, so there is always plenty of one-on-one instruction time. Classes are scheduled to afford the instructor time to personally advise his or her students when needed. With a maximum of ten (and an average of seven) students in most classes, the discussion is always varied and lively without being overwhelming. Because of our diverse student body, it's just as certain you'll learn something from your peers as you will from your instructor.
