Big Ups! To All My Haters!

About Me

Stacks G, now known as Stackola, grew up in Chicago on the notorious south side's seven nine G.D. line. I went to grammar school in Hyde Park. Always interested in art, I would always get in trouble for drawing marvel comic super heroes and Star Wars space ships in the back of the class. I went on to attend Mendel Catholic/St. Martin de Porres Academy Highschool (Chicago's Highschool version of Morehouse College.) Later I went on to Morehouse where I got into a lot of trouble cause at that time Atlanta was too slow for a fast city boy. Then I packed it up and brought it back to the crib to attend Chicago State University (Where Kanye West went and where his mom taught), where I got my Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design. It was there where I started my rap career and where I first thought of starting my own clothing line. Upon graduating I started working in some of Chicago's major publishing, advertising and graphic design firms. Later I tried something new and started working at Custom Kings, a custom clothing manufacturing shop. There I helped make clothes for some of America biggest stars including Snoop Dogg, Baby of Cash Money Records, and Slimm Thug. It was at Custom Kings where I finally came up with what I thought would be the ultimate clothing lines that would unify Chicago as a major force in the Hip-Hop Clothing industry. Chi-City Clothing Company and Chicago Hustlers Inc. was my answer to the division between Chicago street gangs and the love and hate of favored Chicago sports teams. With these clothing lines, I plan to fuse the division so that we all can rock our clothes with pride and respect.
