MICHAEL AARONS - GUITARIST

About Me

Originally from Washington D.C, Michael started playing piano at age 4 after his mother introduced him to the Beatles. He switched to guitar at age 9, and never looked back. Since moving to New York over a decade ago, where he got his BM at the Manhattan School of Music, Michael has built an impressive resume as a session musician. His versatile playing has allowed him to back up the likes of Ray Charles, Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Luther Vandross, Michael McDonald, Anastacia, Mya and Liza Minnelli, to name only a few.
Most nights, Michael can be found on Broadway in the pit orchestras of hit musicals such as the Lion King, Wicked, Spamalot, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and 2004's Laugh Whore, where he held the chair as well as in the Off-Broadway hit Altar Boyz where he currently holds the chair. He will be playing the Guitar Chair in the upcoming Broadway Musical, High Fidelity. Michael has graced the stages of every major stage in New York and beyond such as, Madison Square Garden, Royal Albert Hall, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Hammerstein Ballroom, Town Hall and more.
Michael proudly endorses Gibson Guitars, Pensa Guitars, D'Addario Strings and Acoustic Image amps.
