Steven Corbet Browne a.k.a. "vstee" born in 1973 is a DJ from Paris France very influenced by the UK "Sub Bass Movement" and inspired by the Floridian NuSchool Breaks sound. He has never ceased to surprise his fellow Frenchmen with the latest sound straight from the Underground...
His first step in the music was around 1984 with GrandMaster Flash, RUN DMC, LL Cool J, Kurtis Blow, ..., (my grandmother used to call me "Monkey on a stick" as I was Smurfing in front of the mirror !!)also largely influenced by his elder sister by all the UK pop stuff of the time (Depeche Mode, Culture Club...), spent a while in Reggae concerts (Yellow Man, LKJ, ...) He remembers "old" House party in IBIZA in the late 80's but was probably a little young to really know what he wanted to follow but finally stepped into the Tekno era definitively in the early 90's.
This extremely talented DJ spent his last 10 years playing in many places in Europe (Holland, UK, Belgium, France) in Free parties/Teknivals, squats, clubs, private parties, ..Involved in the Underground French scene in the Free Party movement through the heavy "Insomniak's sound system" / "www.aux4chemins.net". BusParty member as a DJ at the French Teknoparade 2000.
Vstee moves to China in 2005 where he's been playing around with "The Chivas Circus Tour" (Suzhou, Nanning, Wuxi, Tianjin, Beijing, Shanghai).
Now based in Seoul - South Korea to continue the mission to get the party crowd to listen to the best of Electro Bass, UK Garage,UK Breaks, Nu School Breaks, 2 Step and Grime, he knows and loves it all and plays it like no other!!
FDB Recordings is a french independant electro/break/grime/ label owned and managed by vstee on which he releases various artists such as "Reupee(FR)", "Blackmass Plastics(UK)", "DJ Controlled Weirdness(UK)", "The Dexorcist (UK)" from the Deadsilence Syndicate, "Bogusman(BE)", "Mr Formic(DE)" ...
In 2004, with his partner "Cosm(FR)" he starts a ghetto-tek label "P.K.P." - "Tiger Bone (DE/US)"
