In no particular order: Pancakes, role-playing games, writing poetry, jogging, swimming, role-playing games, digging into the truth not covered in conventional history books, pizza, holiday decorating, costuming, anything that has to do with pirates, the Religion of the Jedi Knights, music, medieval fantasy (both historical and fantastical), writing romance, root beer, movies, movies, movies, esoteric studies, ghost hunts, ufology, and courting women with beautiful hearts. Oh, and more pancakes, pizza and root beer.
I'd like to meet:
Anyone who wants to hire me for Production Design on a movie or similar project. Hey, check out my Demo Reel! Clips are from "The Gamers: Dorkness Rising" and "Demon Hunters: Orientation Video", both coming soon from Dead Gentlemen Productions. As for other people I'd like to meet, hmmm . . .
Jesus, and hear what the man really has to say.
Walt Disney, a kindred spirit.
Gen. George S. Patton Jr.
Major Victory as he is an all around great inspiration.
Feedback as he shares the same dreams as I do.
Monkey Woman for her sense of crazy adventure and smiles.
Other than that, I've already met everyone that I want to, but it's always nice to touch bases with scattered souls from the Waffle Project out there.
Music:
I like pretty much anything except (c)rap. I have a particular fondness for Weird Al, movie soundtracks, classical music and holiday favorites.
Movies:
Well, my friends may lynch me for this, but I like BAD movies. Har! Seriously, I like ADVENTURE movies. Comedy and drama are fine at home, sometimes, but the big screen was invented for Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Pirates and Lord of the Rings. Come on, we all know it. I can appreciate Cassablanca, but I see movies to be entertained and delve into a fantasy world, so bring on Conner MacLeod, Sallah, Santa Claus and hordes of Nazis to get beat up! As for favorites, you know, the REAL classics: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, Dark Crystal, any Terry Gilliam fantasy, any Tim Burton darkness, Pirates of the Caribbean, Goonies, Fantasia, Spider-Man, Batman Begins, Ghostbusters, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Predator, Terminator, Alien, Aliens, Highlander, Patton, Princess Bride, Conan the Barbarian, Army of Darkness, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and of course The Gamers and The Gamers: Dorkness Rising.
My Flixster
Television:
I usually don't watch TV. They took all the good cartoons off, I refuse to watch commercials, and I hate censorship. Really, why does anybody watch TV anyway? Everything on there is on DVD with better reception, no commercials, and all the delightfully colourful profanity. Why let the boob-tube dictate when you can watch something? Gnarf!!! Okay, I do like paranormal and alternate-history documentaries, the Olympics, Justice League/Unlimited, Who Wants To Be A Superhero?, The Tick, Warner Bros. classic toons, and the staring-into-the-fridge channel.
Books:
I write faster than I read, so my favorites are limited: Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, George Carlin collections, Hippo Eats Dwarf, How to be a Villain, many mighty Marvel comics, and Calvin & Hobbes. Oh, and I devour books about all things esoteric (UFOs, ghosts, etc.), as they just happen to be the most important things in my life, kinda, maybe, groggle . . .
Heroes:
Most of my heroes are heroes, just as a coincidence, I think. I find inspiration in . . .
Santa (the ultimate grandfather), Jesus (the man, not the myth), Warrior (bonus points if you know who he is), Spider-Man (who DOESN'T like the guy?), Weird Al (he never let success corrupt him like it did all the "artists" he "makes fun of"), Superheroes (Monkey Woman, Major Victory and Feedback), Kurt Angle, Bugs Bunny, Gen. George S. Patton Jr. and Rocky Balboa
