Micah Smith of Baltimore, Maryland is an astonishing singer, song writer, composer and musician of contemporary gospel and Christian music. He decided to become a leader when he saw the need for change. His music has been known to touch the hearts of many and inspire their lives. Micah has a unique yet warm and welcoming style, which will change the atmosphere while ushering the presence of the God into your life.Every since a young child, Micah has rapped himself in the melody of music. His heart dances to the rhythm of several artists of many genres. He has been inspired by Men of Standard’s, Mary Mary’s, and Tye Tribbett’s ability to connect and minister to the youth, the musical arrangement of Singers Unlimited, Donny Hathaway, Jonathon Ball, and Darrin Atwater, the vocal arrangement of Jason Nelson, John Mayer, Kim Burrell and Ella Fitzgerald, the lyrical content of Stevie Wonder, and Frank McComb, and many many more. Micah has done vocal production and song writing for many known and unknown artist along the East Coast, such as Tim Green, Mo-Horns, Jason Nelson, and Jessica Green; just to name a few.As an artist, Micah’s mission is to change the heart of man through the conviction of song to help them see the light and direction in the Father. Currently he is in the studio working on his solo album titled “New Beginnings†which is anticipated to be released in early October of 2008. His band consist of two keyboardist- Kenneth Shelton and Joshua Thomas, an organist Cornell Showell, bass player-Corey Baker, drummer-Mike Saunders and four singers Monet Shelton, Brittany Spenser, Melissa Smith and Jeremy Lloyd, all from Baltimore, MD.
