Music:

A.F.I TODAY IS THE DAY, 6/6/06 A FIRE INSIDE OR BETTER KNOWN AS "A.F.I" IS COMING OUT WITH THERE NEWEST ALBUM: DECEMBERUNDERGROUND. SO I JUST WANT TO SHOW MY APPRIECIATION TO THEM BY PUTTING THIS UP ON MY PAGE. CHEERS GUYS!!///////i can pretty much listen to everything. from r&b, hardcore, metal, punk, industrial, electro, hip hop, psychobilly, old 20th century blues, jazz, classical, hey if it's souds good i'll listen to it. some stuff that i'm into: a.f.i, a perfect circle, at the drive-in, converge, balzac, nin, tiger army, depeche mode, funeral for a friend, interpol, the misfits, the ramones, my bloody valentine, vnv nation, deftones, every time i die, johnny cash, killswitch engage, marilyn manson, the mars volta, sparta, refused, scarling, smashing pumpkins, thursday, weezer, mobb deep (the older stuff from them, not that horseshit they got out now. ever since they hooked up with that no talent assclown 50 cent and that stupid outfit g-unit, they're just not as good. i guess they just went where the cash cow was at. if i'm not mistaken, didn't they have issues with this guy 50? now, they joined him and his band of flunkies. go figure. *shrugs*) , the pharcyde (bizarre ride 2 da pharcyde was an amazing album) there is way more bands and groups to list but that would be a bit too pretentious. the bands of THE moment for me are: CONVERGE: i remembered when i first checked them out... what can i say, i was overwhelmed to say the least! the primal screams of jake bannon, the crazy riffs of kurt ballou, the heavy bass lines of nate newton and the quick hitting beats of ben koller gets your blood pumping! you seriously want to smash your head through a plate glass window when you listen to them. my favorite album from them would be a toss up between the ep, "when forever comes crashing" and the full length, "jane doe" giving jane doe the slight edge. some favorites off that album are fault and fracture, concubine, the broken vow, homewrecker, phoenix in flames(this track jake sounds like a phuckin puma or something! haha!).....well sh!t the whole album is my fav i guess lol! would love to see them live but they always seem to be not in the l.a area much. the closest thing that came here was when cave-in and doomriders (both have converge members on) were touring here back in december. oh well i catch them when there new album drops and i'll be first at tower records to pick up my album. then hopefully.... tickets! muhahahaha! UPDATE: Mission mutha fuckin' accomplished!!! i FINALLY saw these fuckers in HOLLYWOOD this past september and lemme tell it was a blast. even met the lead vocal, jake bannon. go me. *pats self on back* lol. if you wanna read more; it's in my blog... AND of course i picked up their new album, "NO HEROES". one word: BRUTAL. so check it out! there. i can finally die a happy man cuz i seen CONVERGE. *dies happy* haha. Funeral for a Friend: some band from the u.k. they got some good stuff to sing to. all their albums were great but casually dressed and deep in conversation is probaly my favorite album. favorite songs are rookie of the year, bullet theory, juneau (juneau acoustic not on the album but is amazing) escape artists never dies(my favorite song on the album) and she drove me to daytime television.BALZACAh yes...The Great Bazlac. a badass mamajama band from the land of the rising sun. (for all you slow people, japan. ha) They've been called the japanese version of the misfits. you can say that, but i think they have there own style and flare. anyways, i first heard of these guys back in 2003 though the formentioned legendary band "The Misfits". the first song i heard from them was "13 ghosts" i believe, and right there and then i was hooked!! the majority of the vocals aren't in english (who flippin' cares.) but you know when you hear a good band english speaking or not. their musical sense is there; the power, the emotion, it's alllll gooooodd. so if you love horrorpunk or just want to listen to something new, check these guys out. they have 2 cd's released stateside and it's cool too because on both, they come with bonus dvds with live performances and videos alike. and why you ask did i just put this up for them? well.... 1. one of my favorite bands.2. i was bored out of my skull.3. i wanted something new on my page.4. fuck you. i could do whatever i want.5. fuck you. i could do whatever i want. oh and i like this one. 6. fuck you. i could do whatever i want. haha. OH. btw, they got great fuckin' hairdos. hirosuke's is the best. the japanese style "devil locks" i want one. honest. probaly look wierd on me though. people would be looking at me like this: o_O lol.

Movies:

too many to name my friend. but here are some: tampopo, what's eating gilbert grape. the ninth gate, (anything johnny deep. great actor) lost in translation, ghost world, trainspotting, boogie nights, crumb, willy wonka, godfather series, buffalo 66, quitting, to live, a christmas story, pippi movies, my life as a dog, interview with a vampire, rebel without a cause, big trouble in little china, horseman on the roof, fight club the matrix (2 sucked 3 was horrible! sucked even more!) LOTR series, the bourne idenity, national lampoon vacation series, the royal tanubaums, the mechanic, eternal sunshine of the spottless mind, the breakfast club, fast times at ridgemont high, kill bill series, salaam bombay, the motorcycle diaries, shallow hal, basquiat, the machinist, high tension, supersize me, napoleon dynamite, officespace, lock stock and two smoking barrels, snatch, jackie brown, pulp fiction, underworld, the professional, anime: macross the movie, akira, spirited away, my neighbor totoro, porco rosso. they're soooo many more to list. i just love watching movies. A movie that i would love to see made is based on irvine welsh's book, "filth" now that would be a sight to see! the main character is the crooked yet misguided cop/detective, bruce robertson or better known in the book as "ROBBO". man that book is classic! if you havent' read this go out and get it if you're into that dark comedic stuff. it's racey and sleezy but it's a hell of a read. if they made this in a movie....man!! screenshotsLostInTranslation"goodbye""chill"Tampopo "i will beat them"!" special ingredient"GhostWorld "stalking""gimme all your money bitch"!!Buffalo 66 "rest""we're spanning time"Rebel Without a Cause/// One of THE COOLEST movies of all time. "Dad....stand up for me"!"this is judy...she's my friend".

Television:

i don't watch any of the newer stuff now. i think today mostly what's on is total garbage. although the things i watch are: cartoon network, history channel travel channel, most notebly, anthony bourdain: no resevations, food network: the original iron chef (not that horseshit iron chef america they got running now) $40 dollars a day, 30 minute meals with rachel ray, (in the newer ones she became more louder and obnoxious). everyday italian with giada de laurentaus. man that name is badass. i also like to watch fuse IFC, and sundance too if i get the chance to watch the t.v with the cable box. arrghhh! other than that i watch old reruns ya can't go wrong with. i love lucy, three's company, roseanne, brady bunch, the wonder years(man i wish this was on dvd! but i guess they're still having issues with the music score that they used for the show) gilligan's island, little house on a prarie, the three stooges( stupid spike t.v! too many commercials and they only show 2 in one hour?!?! they used to show 3 in a hour on channel 5!) old twighlight zones. there is more but my mind's going blank..... (EDIT IN: fuck when i get a chance, i watch miami ink. that show is hella dope! great artists... and kat von d is flippin FOINE!!!!! homina homina!!! haha.);

Books:

any irvine welsh book notebly the formentioned "filth". a cook's tour and kitchen confidential by anthony bourdain. angel of darkness by calab carr. these are not books per se, but they were comics that were put together in trade paperback form. the akira series by katsuhiro otomo was badass. another comic series that was amazing was a comic by alan moore called top 10. great great read.this is far from a book but great reads none the less are the paperbacks of calvin and hobbes by bill watterson. one word: dope! (edit in) how could i ever forget this dude's work! daniel clowes. he's an indie comic artist and some of you will know him by his movie "ghostworld". anyways, this guys great. has a great yet twisted sense of humor. my kind of stuff! some of stuff he did was, ghostworld, eight-ball, david boring, like a velet glove cast in iron,(this book was really weird and twisted), caricature.... that's only on the top of my head. another dude who does the comicbook thang is paul pope. what can i say, his stuff is amazing! the art, his stories, he has a sense of style. just the complete package. some of his stuff: 100%, heavy liquid, thb (haven't read the thb stuff but my brother said it was great.)

Heroes:

My mom and pop's!...and the guy who invented potato chips! mmmm...good eatin'! MyGen Profile Generator ..
