Chelsea Z has come a long way from her Chuck Taylored beginnings, having since traversed across numerous continents.
With a broad taste in music, Chelsea Z has become known for her ability to write songs that are painfully honest (sometimes sweet but often biting) lyrically and across the board musically, many times within the same song, changing tempo and key while pulling it all together into a catchy and genuine sound that gnaws at the subconscious. Her style has been compared with the likes of Tegan & Sara, the Indigo Girls, The Cure and even early Primus.
Chelsea's powerful live performances have silenced even the most unfamiliar rooms, turning heads and chairs, commanding attention while maintaining a self-deprecatingly humble, playful and engaging wit between songs. Audience members bursting forth with impromptu dances is not unheard of.
When she's not strumming away on her guitar you'll most likely find her talking politics, slugging nasty coffee, painting everything in sight or zooming around on her beloved bicycle anywhere two wheels are capable of roaming... maybe soon to a town near you.
