My life tends to be about whatever I'm most into at the present moment, as well as the present moment I'm in--in general. And also about the people that matter.
VEGAN, taking on challenges, DIY projects of all varieties, love my companion/dog Charlotte, reading, writing and MUSIC, baby! During the summer, organic gardening, swimming in warm water, being out in the woods...in the winter, being wrapped up in a warm blanket. The cheesy cliche of "seeing the world." Although, ya know what, it's not that cheesy. Also, I play the violin and compose when I'm in the mood. I catch myself saying stupid stuff and then wondering if I care how I present myself to the world anyhow. Nah. Maybe. Depends. I work full time as Operations Manager of a radio station, run a mobile DJ service part time.
NOTE. If I don't know you in real life, I'm NOT going to just add you if you don't have the decency to message me and tell me why you sent me a friend request. Am I being bitchy? I don't care. Your band/porn probably sucks anyhow. Thank you.

My Interests

Life, music, playing the violin, teapots, travel, vegan food, reading good books, being outside, tacky things and what drove other people to create them, art and creativity in general and what drives people in general...castles, history, language, strong coffee, jasmine pearl tea, yo mama

I'd like to meet:

Vegans, dog people, underground music people, go with the flow people, people with interesting stories to tell...

Music:

If I started listing off bands, I would be sitting here all night. And also, I hate reading through a list of 200 bands somebody's heard of and trying to figure out what their taste is actually like. I like punk, 80's, 90's, alt rock, some rap, most metal, and classical (or should I say orchestral) music.

Movies:

I like a lot of movies--best recently were Pan's Labyrinth, Idiocracy, and The Devil Wears Prada. (BOO for the cheesy ending on that one.) I love stuff like Castles in the Sky, Spirited Away, other Miyazaki stuff...

Television:

I don't watch a ton of TV. Mythbusters is still a favorite if I can catch it and sometimes I'll watch Adult Swim, but usually I'd rather just read a book.

Books:

I have too many books and I love them all.

Heroes:

People whose biographies I have enjoyed: Frank Abagnale, Emma Goldman, Helen Keller, Margaret D. Lowman, Bee Lavendar.Neil Gaiman kicks my ass as an author.Jello Biafra kicks my ass as a--public speaker though I've only heard his albums.That's who's on my mind at the moment.
