About Me

I was born in Shanghai, but I've been living in New York since I was 6 years old.I'm a fitness fanatic. I do weight training, aerobics, martial arts, and a little yoga.

My Interests

Martial Arts: I've been practicing the martial arts since I was 18 years old. Yes, I started very late in my life. I'm a self taught martial artist, because of the fact that I never got any formal training from schools or classes. However, I must stress that if you are thinking about starting martial arts, please do your research and find a good school or class. If you learn improper form and technique, then you can risk serious injury. I know this, because it has happened to me... ..WARNING: MINOR USE OF HARSH LAGUAGE. A short practice just to loosen up my body before a long film shoot. I didn't get a chance to properly stretch, so my movements were a little stiff. The jeans and belt didn't help the situation... ..It's just me fooling around in the ring again. I started with some simple Capoeira moves, then I switched into a Wushu stance. I also threw in a little Praying Mantis at the end. I was about to attempt a controlled handstand, but the director called for me... ..A quick rehearsal of part of the fight scene between myself and Al. The inspiration for this segment of the fight comes from the finale battle in "SPL" between Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung. It was a decent movie, but the two fights at the end were the highlights of the film... .. I'm quite impressed with this clip. Peter Hallett (the guy in this video) has incorporated some of the HK fight rhythm and timing in this scene.

I'd like to meet:

Martial Artist - Of course, I want to meet Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and dozens of other action stars. However, the one the stands out on top is Sammo Hung. I think I compare quite well to him, except I lack the agility, speed, skill, and weapons expertise. I do speak fluent English, so I guess that's a point for me.Here's a few videos to show you why he is the man:.. .. Sammo Hung was trained in the same opera school as Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao, Yuen Wah, and Corey Yuen... .. A master of several weapons including tennis racquets... .. He has ungodly agility for a man of his size.I wish I had his coordination. He actually fought Bruce Lee.
