I like to think of myself as a fashion designer, stylist, photographer, artists, and explorer and enthusiast for all things creative!! My most current project involves the production of a groundbreaking event known as Toronto Alternative Fashion Week!The Toronto Alternative Fashion Week [FAT] is Toronto's first ever alternative fashion event that is geared towards the promotion and exposure of young and up and coming talent in the fields of fashion, art and music. What is defined by alternative, is [FAT]s diverse approach in the representation of fashion.The Toronto Alternative Fashion Week comprises of the intertwining of various mediums and intends to stress the fusion existing between fashion, music and art. Any medium, materials, messages, visual presentations and performance used to deal with fashion in a new, exciting and unorthodox way are all encouraged to be explored.The event is designed as an alternative to the well-established L'Oreal Fashion Week, in order to create a new, and more feasible outlet for young fashionistas and artisans, to showcase their work to the media and the public!The Toronto Alternative Fashion Week is geared towards art lovers, fashion admirers, individuals working in the creative industry and the general public, who are seeking new avenues to appreciate and celebrate thought provoking work. [FAT] recognizes that fashion is something broader than a seasonal trend, or beautiful clothes, but also acts as a tool to portray a personal statement, social commentary, cultural expression, a symbol of identity and life philosophy for the individuals of Toronto and worldwide.
