Smoking too many cigs and hitting people with stuff. Not by nature a 'people person' but used to spend 9 hours a day working in the most social job possible. After spending about a year not working at all, I'm about to start my Americor year of service-- part time no less. I like winter yet have horrendous SAD. Nonplussed is a regular mental state. Fascinated by bruises, welts and scars-- external and internal. Endlessly amused by the mundane of everyday life. Church going, black wearing, pervert.
No one really.
Although meeting/drinking with him was a treat...
And I don't add people I don't know. So don't be offended if I don't.
The Dresden Dolls, The Handsome Family, Joseph Arthur, Elliott Smith, Jude, Pedro the Lion, Richard Buckner, Badly Drawn Boy, my vinyl collection of random 80s and far far far too many more to even mention.
Does it make me laugh or cry? Do things blow up? Impart a burning desire to rub one out? Any of the above, and I'd likely watch it once. Maybe a few times if it does any of the above to such a degree where I'd want to do it again. I'm more inclined to watch documentaries than hollywood movies.
Iron Chef! Top Chef. Patriots Football. Red Sox. Home and gardening shows. Ah heck, Law and Order is on 24/7. I only got a TV a couple of years ago so I'm still playing catch up.
My house is stacked to the ceiling with them. Too hard to list my favorite authors although I did stick a few under heroes. I also collect reference books and have the final printing of the Colliers Encyclopedia. Books are my children.
Shane MacGowan, Bukowski, Debra DiBlasi, Vachss, Brian Morton, Susie Bright, Dan Savage, my former shrinkie dink, The Dargle, Linde, my real (aka non biological one) Dad. Really, anyone with the courage to take a leap of faith while being smart enough to look rationally where they will land. Also, people who aren't afraid of heights.
