About Me

I will always call my elbow my shoulder and vice versa. I think it's genetic - my brother does it as well.

I work to travel and I travel for work.

My greatest fear with traveling is that I'll get stuck next to a whiny kid for the entire flight. That might just make me a landlubber for the rest of my life.

Boston, Chicago, and Denver are the cities that I most likely will end up near sometime before the end of the life (or the end of my 3rd decade - wow that's scary sounding)

My favorite candies are wine gums; they are unavailable in the United States (sad!).

I am infinitely curious - which is sometimes not a good thing. Lucky for me it hasn't gotten me into too much trouble - although sometimes I get too much information!

I tell people exactly what I'm thinking without really taking into considerations their feelings. This could be seen as a fault especially in the south where things are sugar-coated.

I talk to myself all the time, and unfortunately sometimes it's the best conversation I've had all day.

I heard the term physically dyslexic the other day in some show I was watching. I think I personify this term - actually there's no doubt about it, I definitely personify this term.

My Interests

I like to knit. I pretend I can teach it, but I'm a horrible teacher.

I like microbrews.

I love reading non-fiction.

I love music of all sorts.

I apparently like to debate. People have told me this for years, but I've denied it to the maximum extent possible.

I occasionally like going to the gym and working out.

I love kayaking as long as we go into the wind of the first leg of the trip.

I love debating why no children under a certain age should be allowed on planes. Mostly because I fly a lot - and always get stuck next to the screaming baby or in front of the kicker.

I love traveling

I'm one of those people that could go to school for the rest of my life, unfortunately not joking.

I'd like to meet:

The guy who drives the Jesus-mobile in Milwaukee.

Music:

Currently
1. Jack Johnson
2. Bob Dylan
3. Kate Nash (ever since Oktoberfest)
4. The Dropkick Murphy's
5. Flaming Lips

Movies:

Let's see I don't really watch movies at all. I normally cannot sit through an entire one. The situation, though, is not helped when your roommate has a knack for renting movies in foreign languages.

Oh, I've also been "in training" for the past year to become a southerner, or at least educated in the "Southern way." This includes watching movies such as SHAG, Beaches, Fried Green Tomatoes, Steel Magnolias, etc." My teacher, after a long furlough, is back on track, so we'll see how it goes.

Love the horrible flick Freeway (ug), The Big Lebowski, umm, and anything of the genre where I can pick up some excellent one-liners.

Television:

I don't watch tv on a regular basis, mostly because my schedule has been fairly irregular for a while. However, I can get sucked in to a good marathon of pretty much anything on a rainy, blase weekend.Umm, the news. This cracks me up, time and time again.

Books:

I love to read. I'm currently reading:

1. The Beautiful and the Damned

2. Some book by Bill Bryson (can't remember the title)
