About Me

Try the BEST MySpace Editor and MySpace Backgrounds at MySpace Toolbox !No one is more surprised and thrilled than Terry himself with the recognition he is receiving from fellow respected songwriters and music industry proffessionals alike. Little did he know those first hesitant plucks of a Yamaha nylon stringed guitar only five years ago, would lead him on an incredible journey. After learning some basic chords he discovered a natural desire to write lyrics and was encouraged to explore this further. He took a years sabbattical from his gardening business to study Songwriting at The Brighton Institute of Modern Music. This proved to be a creative hotbed of talent and with incredible support from fellow students and lecturers alike, he quickly progressed from scribbled ideas to writing songs and performing them live. His first ever performance at The Sussex Arts Club was described as "Incredibly touching" by Michael Williams an up and coming songwriter, and David Ross of Nassar Royal said the performance was"Profoundly moving". Mark Flannery a producer with a stable of up and coming artists and previous experience of working with U2 and Def Leppard says " He has the ability to observe life and the human condition, marry it with simple music and deliver it in an open honest way" .

My Interests

Band Members:'FRIENDS' WITH MIKE WILLIAMSThe two new songs show my desire to work with other musicians and experiment with different instruments, styles and sounds. 'CHANGING OF SEASONS', a christmas song of sorts features the dreamlike accordian playing of Dr G. Hailing from the musical heartland of Liverpool he posesses natural musicality and an ear for melody. He also plays a mean fiddle, guitar and keyboard. We will over the coming weeks be going into a recording studio to capture the new sound and will be playing the songs live in reputable local establishments! As they say: WATCH THIS SPACE!I have also over the last few months been working with bass player Mark Stern. Mark is an intelligent musician with experience in a number of local bands and is currently working on his own soul/jazz/funk project. His bass line arrangements sound almost classical at times and he has the ability to interpret the sensitivity and emotional quality of the songs with amazing results. We have uploaded a rough demo version of SUNDAY MORNIN FEELIN, Marks bass line adding richness, warmth and adding to the feeling that can only be Sundays. Enjoy! We will be performing live very soon!'FRIENDS' recorded with help of fellow songwriters DANNY McGURN ( Officer Rose) and JOHN PRING on keyboard/synthesiser cello and piano. Recently had the privelege of being joined by MICHAEL WILLIAMS, an up and coming songwriter in his own right to play 'FRIENDS' live at THE SANCTUARY CAFE and THE SUSSEX ARTS CLUB. Thanks Guys!
