John Pring is 23 years old and currently resides in Brighton, England, where he studies songwriting and professional musicianship at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music. He has been playing the guitar and writing songs for about four years and has come incredibly far in such a relatively short amount of time; his guitar style has been referred to as exceptional and original

His voice has been described as piercing and full of emotional integrity and his original songwriting style has won him fans across the music industry.

Somehow still unsigned, John has been gigging across Brighton for the last 12 months and is beginning to build a solid fan-base comprising of audiences and peers alike.

In the last year, John has recorded a full length album called In The City with John Crick of Kingsomniac and a six song solo EP entitled A Few Simple Words, plus a B-sides EP recorded with PlayDead Studios, Brighton

John has had his music played in student films in both Brighton and Wales, put together several successful acoustic nights in Brighton and had three songs featured on Group30 Publishings compilation album.

John has also had 'Falter' included in the Brighton Waves Podcast, which can be downloaded from the August 2006 section at: www.brightonwaves.co.uk

John has also had radio airplay; being featured on both JuiceFM and BBC Southern Counties

Recently, John has taken a break from gigging to write new material, during this time he has signed a publishing deal with Group 30 Publishing, and is now being managed by SoulTrader Management.
John is re-starting the gigging process with his new EP and new material for the forthcoming album in 2007

FEATURED LYRICS

'How Suzie's Been Sleeping'
Written by John Pring and Danny Mcgurn

When you wake up Suzie I'll be sleeping
I'll have been awake all night just thinking
How it's been a while
Since you made her smile

Do you still find yourself enchanted
Or are you taking her for granted
If only for a night
You'd let her out your sight
I'd try to change her mind, but it's not my style

Im half asleep
I thought i heard her speak
You're not the man she thought i am
You're just kissing her because you can
I'm just trying to understand
How Suzie's been sleeping

Does she know what i've been missing
Does she close her eyes to kiss him
I know it's been a while
Since someone made me smile
I'd try to put it on, but it's not my style

Chorus

I talked about you on the telephone today

Chorus
