About Me

This exciting new GROUP EXHIBITION shows a great variety of paintings, sculpture and photographs exploring how the GRAFFITI HIP-HOP CULTURE from 1980's NYC and 21st century UK has moved from a private street world to a more public commercialized one and has maintained its transgressive nature. Throughout this historical and social analysis the exhibition deals with hip-hop graffiti as a HUMAN NEED FOR EXPRESSION and its impact on contemporary culture.

There will be a NEW COMMISSIONED work from THIRD DECADE CREW artists CRACK15 and FRAME which will be shown in the making at the LIVE EVENT, where viewers can ask questions to the artists about the work and can see how a graffiti painting is constructed from start to finish. Other artists include; CEL, MARTHA COOPER, DARK DAZE, STEAM and WILDEYE

Curated by: Prisca Aguirre, Amy Caiger, Michelle Deyo, Hannah Morrison and Katerina Vlachou
